The calm and confident energy that Zara exudes the minute you meet her is reflective of the steadiness she brings about with her as she goes about her life.

Despite the many challenges and upheavals thrown her way, Zara has always kept her head held high, remaining positive and determined to journey on and provide the best life possible for her 2 year old son. Having previously been in an abusive marriage, Zara took a major step by moving out of her marital home, in a foreign country with no family support whatsoever, to protect both her son and herself. Zara forged on and created her own community by finding solace amongst the women here at DOT.

She reminds everyone here that “we can be our own support system” and to not let adversity get us down. Zara goes above and beyond to check in on the people around her, an indication of her caring and selfless nature.

Her life in Singapore may not have started off well but there is no reason why it should remain that way. Nowadays, Zara is channelling her energy and time into making sure women look and feel beautiful. She’s currently working at Gergert Beauty Academy, one of the best studios in Singapore for brow and lash treatment and aspires to pursue further studies to better support her family.
